Index to Family ChartsUpdated: October 20, 2009 This is the first time any of us have created charts, and have discovered that if we aren't careful we are creating charts that are taking many minutes to open once clicked on. To prevent that, we're going to break down the charts, if necessary, and make comments about where and how they are connected. For those of you who have super fast internet capabilites, we would love to put the full charts up for you, but it would take my "Covered Wagon Internet Connection" hours to upload them to the server. Until we can afford a faster Internet capability, we are forced to ride the slow plodding covered wagon across the continent like our forefathers. Click on any underlined purple name or link to go to the chart or story. Hope you enjoy. Lastly, we have amassed tons of new information on the below familes, to include about 100 families not yet mentioned in these pages. I intend to have the charts and data updated sometime in Nov/Dec 2009, so please keep checking back then.
BORIN-BOWERS: Edward Borin Bowers was one of the over 200,000 Orphan Train riders. Please visit the Orphan Train Section for more information. Also, Ethel Favor Cox married Edward Borin Bowers. Click below for Cox family. COX: For Ethel Favor Cox's family. CLAUSON-FLYGSTAD: Clauson is the family who started it all for one of our researchers. The beginning of the line, so far, can be traced to John L Clauson, 1800, who was born in KY. His wife Ann Wells was the daughter of Anna Hamilton, from Ireland, born abt 1765. Anna Hamilton was married to Samuel Wells. He was the son of Philip Wells. More info coming soon. Warning, we goofed up and this page will take about 30 seconds to open. We will break it into separate families soon. DOTSON-STEWART: This chart is in connection with the Shaw/Smith/Rushman bloodline. FLYGSTAD: Flygstad is the tree connected to Clauson. It was Sam Clauson who married Chai Lena Flygstad. And this Tree goes back to the mid 1600's and possibly further as I amass more family documents. But for right now it is a very simple 2 gen tree. GAHLAU, AUGUST AND ERNESTINE: This is an intersting situation because we've seen other genealogy sites who confuse August and Ernestine with Louis (Carl Ludwig) and Caroline Gahlau (who are the bloodline that is eventually connected to the Rushman family in Detroit, MI). Those other sites have also confused August and Ernestine with Carl and Wilhelmine Gahlau as well, whom we believe are the parents of August and Carl Ludwig. And they all had sons named Fred. BUT, one thing is for sure, August and Ernestine are the parents of THE Fred who married Martha (Stephan) Hellwig. We found the mystery census and other documentation that proves this. We also found the mystery census's that clarify who Martha's family is, and they are the Stephan family, not Stevens. Scroll down to find that family. This LINK will take you to the article about how we proved which Fred was Martha's husband. Descendent chart GAHLAU, CARL AND CAROLINE: The bloodline that eventually leads to the Rushman family. Click HERE for the family history report. GAHLAU, CARL AND WILHELMINE: So far, not related to Carl and Caroline, but we hope to prove they do. For now, they are part of the research project, although we don't have the charts done yet. KULOW, WASMUND/WARMUTH, WEINAND, GAHLAU: Large Chart (40 seconds) MAHANEY: You have two choices. Click HERE for a huge chart that will take about 40 seconds to load, or click HERE for a downsized chart. This family starts with an adopted child, Richard Leon (Johnson) Mahaney and goes way back in time. But it took some major research to find that adopted child's great grandparents, Stephen and Rebecca Mahaney, which was one of the hardest research moments any of us have ever had to do. In fact the chart shows Sarah, not Rebecca, so when we down size this chart properly, it will be updated with tons more info that we've found. Stephen's dad was Lewis Mahaney. We have so much more to put into this bloodline but it won't happen until about Nov 2009. This chart includes Mahaney, Miller, O'Day, McLeod, Nutt, Coe, Tudor, Harriott, Ingram, Edwards Chart. The biological family for Richard Leon Johnson is Johnson, Sargent and Beavo (from France). See below: JOHNSON, SARGENT & BEAVO: We mentioned that Richard Leon Johnson was adopted by the Mahaneys (charts above). But this chart is Richard's true bloodline. We salute you Richard L Mahaney (Richard Leon Johnson) who wanted the truth to be known. This tree will soon show the connection to Pontius, Maxon and others. LORENTZ: This family is related to the Mahaney chart, but isn't finished yet. MILLER: Miller, Meunier, Maumary bloodline, and is in connection with the Shaw / Smith / Rushman bloodline. ROBERTS (page updated 10/20/09): Includes Roberts, Hawkins, Washington, Stewart, Kennedy, and Hartfield. Click the folliwing for your selection: Roberts/Hawkins/Washington LARGE chart. Roberts/Hawkins/Washington SMALL chart. Stewart/Kennedy/Hartfield LARGE chart. Stewart/Kennedy/Hartfield SMALL chart. Or just for Alex Stewart. And finally a small chart for just Albert Kennedy and his family. RUSHMAN: This is the family of another of our researchers. It includes Rushman, Gahlau, Gerhard, Kulow, Bastuba, Weinand, Wasmund, Warmuth, and Miller SALVAGE: This family begins with our very dear friend who was once married to Francis Hally Salvage. He was simply known as Hally. She is alive and well and living in the Great Southwest, but we did this tree for her as we knew she'd enjoy and appreciate it. But, it isn't complete yet. We still have over 100 more people to add, taking this line back to the 1400's. Be patient, we are paddling as fast as we can. SHAW, SMITH, EARLE, LYON, RUGGLES, NEWHALL: This is the chart for yet another of our researchers. It will take about 30 seconds to open fully. It goes back to the 1500's and still isn't fully complete. STEPHAN: Martha Stephan married Frederick Ernest Gahlau. Her parents are Gottlieb and Alvina Stephan. We have so much more to input. TYREE: There are two charts right now. Click the name TYREE for one and HERE for the other one. This family is connected to one of the Clauson Clan cited at the top of this page. It's quite interesting that other genealogy sites have eluded to not knowing who Lucinda Tyree's (1816) husband was. He was Joshua Bartlett. Why she held on to her maiden name while married is a mystery, but she had 11 kids all of whom were born with the Tyree name and not Bartlett. Very interesting. Also this tree expands to include Pitcock and Tyson but I don't have it all together yet. One thing for sure...doing these charts has shown us the gapping holes in the data we must input. We have the data, but just need 100 more hours in a day to get it done.
