Since this is the first family tree that we've put on the web site, it is definitely experimental. The tree actually begins at Francis Hally Salvage, affectionately known simply as Hally. We dated this tree 1976 because that's when Hally passed on. We did this tree as a present to his beloved widow (Living Arnold) residing in the desert Southwest of this Great Nation of ours. Clicking on the Surnames link will take you to the list of Surnames on this page, which you can click to go to that family. But clicking on the Index are the same Surnames and first names with links to their pages. Clicking on the Home Card link will take you to that beginning page of this interesting family tree. You will see Hally' parents and below them are Hally and his siblings. Please note that once you get into the Tree, if you click on a person's name the page will expand to include census data, and any other pertinent notes we've made regarding that person. Clicking the Contact link take you to the bottom of this page to our contact email. Always remember, anything that is underlined will take you to another person and page. If you suddenly feel lost, on every page is a Contents link at the bottom of the page, which will bring you right back here, or click on the Surnames link. For an added bonus, we've created a two nifty charts that will help you see the Salvage family graphically. Click HERE to see the chart that starts with Hally (Francis Hally Salvage) and goes back to 1616. Click HERE to see the descendents of Benjamin born 1750 in Berne, Switzerland. We will be creating other charts for this family soon. Be patient. And, for those so inclined we've also created an Ahnentafel Report. The Ahnentafel Report is a narrative-style report that begins with Hally Salvage and moves backward in time. The Ahnentafel Report includes ancestors (parents, parents' parents, etc.) of Hally along with information about each ancestor along the way. Each ancestor is assigned a unique Ahnentafel number, beginning with 1 for the source person. (Ahnentafel is a German word that translates as ancestor (ahnen) table (tafel). It's also divided by generation. Click HERE to view Hally's Ahnentafel Report. And if you are so inclined, we'd love to hear your comments. Just use the contact link below. |
